i have done all the setting according but i am getting error " Incoming mail server not found.check mailbox settings".please send me the solution on arrry25@yahoo.com

    Sunil Kumar Gupta says

    Hi Arry,

It takes the setting automatically for Yahoo! You can also go to E-mail settings and then connection settings and there you can define incoming mail server setting and outgoing mail server settings. These addresses are-

    incoming mail server : pop.mail.yahoo.com
    outgoing mail server : smtp.mail.yahoo.com

    Hope that solves your problem.

    Regards,
    Sunil

i think this works with yahoo.com.in / india mailboxes. for yahoo.com just head to email.nokia.com and get the messaging client

i m getting error "incoming mail server not found. check mailbox settings"

    Sunil Kumar Gupta says

    Hi i4u,

In which country you are? Here in India, With Airtel, when you activate Mobile office service, you never have any issue connecting with Yahoo mail. In case, you are using other service, then you need to check it with your network provider.

JUST SO PEOPLE KNOW YOU HAVE TO GO TO YAHOO.COM SIGN INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND UNDER SETTINGS ALLOW pop/imap FOR THIS TO WORK. THE CATCH IS THAT YAHOO CHARGES FOR THIS SERVICE, SO I WOULD GO WITH GMAIL

After step 5 : it says Incomming mail server not found. Check mailbox settings. plz tell me what to do?

    Mobile Geek says

I have earlier provided the manual settings. Here are more to try -

    Incoming
    Mailbox Name: Yahoo! Mail
    Incoming Mail Server : imap.n.mobile.yahoo.com
    Incoming Port: 143
    Mailbox Type: IMAP4
    Security: OFF
    APOP Secure Login : OFF

    Outgoing
    Security: OFF
    Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo
    Outgoing Port: 25

Read the following note very carefully-

Note: Retrieving Yahoo! Mail in some countries using POP/IMAP is only for paid Yahoo Mail subscribers. When I posted this article, it was available for all.

    Hope that helps.
