Nokia 5800 Games

Mobile Witch Remote Control is a nice Java based application to control your PC from your mobile phone. The aim of this application is to enable mobile phone owners to control basic functions of their PC from their mobiles using Bluetooth technology.

The Remote Control application consists of two parts, the client part and the server part. The client part is a J2ME application which is installed in a mobile phone. The server part is a Java application which is running on the target computer you want to access using your mobile client.

As shown in the screenshot, the application is currently offering the following functionality:

• Control the movement of the mouse cursor
• Left - Right Click
• Rotate the mouse wheel
• Press the mouse wheel
• Control the arrow keys of the keyboard
• Control the spacebar, enter, tab and backspace keys

The minimum requirements to install server on your PC are:

• Windows XP SP1 or later
• Java SE 1.6 or greater
• Bluetooth adapter compatible with Microsoft Bluetooth stuck

After installation on both PC and mobile, you need to first start Bluetooth on both mobile and PC. If you PC is bluetooth discoverable. You can launch the server application on PC which will wait for your mobile client to connect. Once server is started, you can start the mobile application which will search for server and when server is available in the search result, you can double click on it to connect.

The application also provides you to have controls on some of the applications like Explorer, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Winamp, etc. If any of these application is currently in focus on your PC, you can control it. For example: you can perform following actions on Internet Explorer:

• Back
• Refresh
• Next Tab
• Close Tab
• New Tab
• Home
• History

The application works great on Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition mobiles such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5230, 5233, 5235, 5530 XpressMusic, E71 and E63. The mouse controls using onscreen keyboard is little slow but the desktop screen which comes on mobile is very clear and visible. You can enjoy your PC on your mobile.
